Obama Quietly Erasing Borders

By Jerome R. Corsi
WorldNetDaily

Dem administration advancing
'North American Union' agenda

Acting quietly, below the radar of U.S. public opinion and without congressional approval, the Obama administration is implementing a key policy objective of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP, to erase the border with Mexico and Canada.

The administration is acting under a State Department-declared policy initiative described in a March 23 fact sheet titled "United States-Mexico Partnership: A New Border Vision."

"Mexico and the United States have a shared interest in creating a 21st century border that promotes the security and prosperity of both countries," the State Department declared. "The U.S. and Mexican governments have launched a range of initiatives that challenge the traditional view of 'hold the line' and are developing a framework for a new vision of 21st century border management."

At the same time, CTV News in Canada has obtained a draft copy of a declaration between the U.S. and Canada entitled ,"Beyond the Border: A Shared Vision for Perimeter Security and Competitiveness," to be implemented by a newly created Canadian-U.S. "Beyond the Border Working Group."

The two documents strongly suggest the Obama administration is pursuing a stealth bureaucratic methodology to establish a common North American border around the continent, encompassing the U.S., Canada and Mexico, while simultaneously moving to erase the borders between the U.S. and Mexico as well as between the U.S. and Canada.

Under the Bush administration's SPP, the U.S., Mexico and Canada organized some 20 different "shadow government" bureaucratic working groups composed of agency heads and undersecretaries in the three nations. The groups span a wide range of policy areas, from e-commerce, to aviation policy, to borders and immigration, trilateral travel, transportation, energy, environment, food and agriculture, health and financial services.

WND has reported since 2006 that a blueprint published in 2005 by the Council on Foreign Relations entitled "Building a North America Community" called for the establishment of a common security perimeter around North America by 2010 to facilitate the free movement of people, trade and capital between the three nations of North America.

In his 2001 book, "Toward a North American Community," American University professor Robert Pastor, a co-chair of the CFR blue ribbon committee that authored "Building a North American Community," called for the creation of a North American Commission, a North American Parliament, and a North American Court on Trade and Investment.

The language of the documents declaring "A New Border Vision" with Mexico and Canada could easily have been lifted directly from the CFR report or Pastor's book.

The 2005 CFR report "Building a North American Community" called on page xvii of the Foreword for the "establishment by 2010 of a North American economic and security perimeter, the boundaries of which would be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter."

CTV News reported that the language of the draft agreement specified that "A New Border Vision" for the U.S. and Canada would involve "a perimeter approach to security, working together within, at, and away from the borders of our two countries in a way that supports economic competitiveness, job creation and prosperity, and in a partnership to enhance our security and accelerate the legitimate flow of people and goods between our two countries."

Similarly, the U.S. State Department fact sheet calling for "A New Border Vision" with Mexico specified five areas of "joint border management, co-responsibility for cross-border crime, and shared commitment to the efficient flow of legal commerce and travel," namely: enhancing public safety, securing flows of people and goods, expediting legitimate commerce and travel, engaging border communities, and setting policy.

Under "setting policy," the State Department fact sheet with Mexico called for achieving rapid policy change through "an agile inter-agency process within each country as well as a means by which both governments can easily coordinate at a bi-national level."

This provides additional support for the conclusion that the bureaucratic "working groups" established under SPP in the Bush administration will continue to operate under Obama administration.

CTV News reported that the draft declaration of "A New Border Vision" with Canada similarly also specified a cross-border policy agenda, including:

An integrated cargo security strategy;

A joint approach to port and border security and screening;

Cross-border sharing of information between law enforcement agencies;

A closer working relationship between the two militaries in the event of emergencies;

A new level of collaboration on preventing and recovering from counter attacks.
Affirming the continuance of the working group process, the draft declaration with Canada specifies the U.S. and Canada "intend to address threats at the earliest point possible, including outside the perimeter of our two countries."

The origin of the SPP can be traced to a trilateral summit meeting in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005, between President George W. Bush, then-Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin.

At the end of the Waco summit, the three leaders simply declared that the U.S., Mexico and Canada were now in the Security and Prosperity Partnership, without the signing of any international agreement between the three countries or the ratifying of any trilateral treaty by the U.S. Senate.

The SPP in the administration of President Bush appeared designed to replicate the steps taken in Europe over a 50-year period following the end of World War II to transform an economic agreement under the European Common Market into a full-fledged regional government, operating as the European Union, with its own currency, the euro, functioning as the sole legitimate currency in what has become known as "the eurozone."

The concern was that under the SPP, the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, could evolve into a regional government, the North American Union, with a regional currency, the Amero, designed to replace the U.S. dollar, the Mexican peso and the Canadian dollar.

WND has reported analysts have believed the North American integration plan will proceed incrementally, largely below the radar, since the SPP was declared "dead" by one of its chief architects, American University Professor Robert A. Pastor, who for nearly 15 years has been a major proponent of building a "North American Community."

The New American Dream: Sprawling Tent Cities Filled With Tents Made In China

endoftheamericandream.com

What would you do if you had your job suddenly ripped away from you and you ended up losing your home? Well, that is exactly what hundreds of thousands of families across America have found themselves facing during this economic downturn. So what would you do? Would you move in with relatives? Would you join the ranks of those living in the tent cities that are popping up all over the nation? Would you live in a van down by the river? The truth is that with each passing month even more Americans find themselves pushed to the brink of absolute desperation. For many of our fellow citizens, the American Dream has been reduced to finding some way to keep the rain off of them each night and finding someone who will be kind enough to give them some food during the day.

So why are so many Americans hurting? Where did all the good jobs go? Well, over the past couple of decades our new "global economy" has encouraged big corporations to move thousands of factories and millions of jobs out of the United States. Many of the good jobs that these homeless and unemployed Americans used to do are now done on the other side of the world. The ironic thing is that many of the tent cities that have bloomed in communities across the United States are filled with tents that were made in China.

Unfortunately, the tent cities that have grown up all over the nation are just a foretaste of what is coming in the future. When the economy really collapses, millions more Americans are going to be living in conditions just like this....

One of the saddest things about all of this is what is happening to older Americans. There are large numbers of older Americans that have worked hard all of their lives but that now find everything just slipping away.

A reader of this column named William recently left the following comment....

I thought I would try to start things rolling here. I am a 46 year old 99er, who just found out last week that unemployment is done. I was making $283/week which I am very thankful for, but was not enough to pay the mortgage on our small 2 bedroom, 1941 cape, ( mostly because of increasing taxes). I have been doing misc. barter jobs in trade for others services or food, etc. I have been sending resumes all around, but no bites. I am a 25 year veteran, high end woodworker. I even have some AutoCad and CNC experience, but evidently not enough experience in this economy to land me a job.

We are on the edge of not being able to pay mortgage, even though our cars are paid off, we have no phone, no cable, and the wife cooks all the meals, and I did not mention, we don’t have kids either. Just two people trying to make ends meet.
At least William and his wife still have a home (for now) and are hanging in there. There are countless others that have not been so fortunate. In fact, in the three counties surrounding Disney World, it is estimated that there are approximately 8000 people living in the woods. What some of those people have to face on a daily basis is absolutely horrifying....

Can you imagine living that way?

Sadly, many local communities across the United States are cracking down on homeless people because they simply do not want to deal with them.

In Venice, California the police are actually arresting people that are living in RVs and are towing away their vehicles. The following is an excerpt from an article that recently appeared on the Daily Kos website....

They took Eric while he was changing his battery in his car. Claimed he lived in his car. A few days later they went to 3th Street and took his RV because he was in jail and no one moved it for 72 hours. Saturday they did a sweep of 7th and took Bear and his RV. They also took Elizabeth's RV but do not know if they took Elizabeth but can not find her. The police went to 6th and took the white RV that always parks by Broadway on 6th. Everyday they take 1 to 4 RVs. Very soon there will be no one left.
If you lost your home would you try to live in your vehicle?

Well, the truth is that it is not so easy. In fact, just on Friday a 56-year-old homeless man in northwestern Montana that was living in his car froze to death after his car battery died.

Once you have been kicked out of your home it is not easy to survive.

That is why so many Americans are so desperate to hang on to their homes.

But what do you do when you can't find a job and your money has dwindled away to almost nothing? What do you tell your children when there is not enough money for food?

The following quote from a Huffington Post article comes from a 99er named Toni. It kind of sums up the frustration and anger that so many unemployed Americans are feeling right now....

"How does someone explain to their child that they can have a place to live and maybe stay warm in the winter, but in order to do that they won't have any food to eat? Or they can eat, but may not have a secure place to live? Just try to explain those adult decisions to a child and see how much they understand!"
Unfortunately, many Americans respond to such suffering by saying that people like this "should just get a job". But as I wrote about recently, the truth is that there are not nearly enough jobs for everyone who wants one anymore.

In fact, in the United States today there are over 6 million Americans that have been out of work for 6 months or longer. In such an environment, "black market industries" such as drug dealing and prostitution are thriving as desperate Americans look to survive any way that they can.

But there are many Americans that will never stoop to a life of crime. There are many Americans who feel like they have done everything that they were "supposed" to do all these years and now they feel like they are being tossed aside by society like a piece of trash.

A woman identified only as "oldandtired" recently posted the following very sad message on the Unemployed-Friends website....

How did I get here? I have donated, volunteered, etc. for those in need for decades. Now, I have $2.34 to my name. I have lost my home, filed bankruptcy, and have been separated from my daughter. I have not seen a doctor in three years. I keep looking for work, but it is like a cruel joke - and the joke is on me. I exist day to day on the charity of family and I try to keep in mind that so many of you don’t have that option.

My eyesight has been bad for most of my life. I am -8.25 and -8.50 for vision. For those of you who know the eyes, you realize that I am so near-sighted that I am legally blind when not corrected. However, I am corrected with contacts or glasses - neither of which I can afford. Contacts ran out last year and my glasses are almost 10 years old (my fault for not getting new ones when I had a job). Don’t you know? The f#$%ing things broke. No chance of fixing. No contacts. How the heck am I supposed to get work when I can‘t see????? There is no social services available without an address, and I am homeless. A PO box doesn’t cut it.

Okay, the eternal optimist isn’t being so optimistic, eh? I catch myself thinking the word ‘hate’ lately. It is a word that was never in my vocabulary before. I hate politicians. I hate the economy. I have even begun to resent and hate people who have jobs. Sometimes, tears just fall from my cheeks and I can only think of those two words…..”I hate”.

If any of you knew me, you would know how bizarre this is for me. My spirit needs a boost, but I hate to even try anymore. Anyone got a good joke? One that will make me laugh until I cry instead of me just crying.

The president and I are the same age. Retirement is so far off. Why is my life over already?
So what can the rest of us do about all of this?

Well, first of all we can all reach out and help those we know that are in need.

Secondly, we can all start preparing for the hard times that are coming. Instead of maxing out our monthly budgets, we should all be setting aside some extra money in case we lose our jobs or businesses. In addition, we should be storing up extra food and supplies for when the U.S. economy totally collapses.

Unfortunately, the U.S. economy is not going to be getting better in the long-term. We are living in the greatest debt bubble in the history of the world, and when it bursts things are going to get far worse than they are now.

So don't look down on the millions of Americans that are really suffering right now, because one day you might be the one that is suffering.

Big Sis Set To Expand Spy Program To Sports Stadiums

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com

If you thought seeing Big Sis urging Americans to “report suspicious activity” at Wal-Mart checkouts was creepy enough, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Homeland Security announced yesterday that the program was set to be expanded to include 9,000 federal buildings, as well as sports stadiums, businesses and communities in general.

Despite the official Homeland Security You Tube channel being bombarded by almost 6,000 profanity-filled comments from Americans outraged that their country is sinking into a decrepit Soviet-style informant society, Janet Napolitano announced yesterday that the “If you see something, say something,” campaign will be extended to include around 9,000 federal buildings across the country.

“In the coming weeks, “If You See Something, Say Something” public awareness materials designed to help America’s businesses, communities and citizens remain vigilant and play an active role in keeping our homeland safe will be posted in approximately 9,000 federal buildings throughout the country,” states a DHS press release. “Signage will appear at FPS guard stations at each facility, and any calls reporting suspicious activity will be directed to the existing national network of FPS call centers, which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

The memo also indicated that the campaign would be extended to sports stadiums, labeled “sports and general aviation industries” in the press release, as well as businesses and communities in general – so before too long expect to see and hear Big Sis reminding you that you live in a Sovietized police state wherever you happen to be.

“In the coming months, the Department will continue to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign nationally with public education materials and outreach tools designed to help America’s businesses, communities and citizens remain vigilant and play an active role in keeping the country safe,” states the release.

Invading public life with creepy posters and video messages encouraging Americans to report each other to the authorities represents a resurrection of the Bush-era Operation TIPS program (Terrorism Information and Prevention System), which at its inception hoped to recruit more tattle-tales than were even active at the height of the Stasi in Soviet-controlled East Germany.

The program encouraged people who had access to Americans’ homes, such as cable installers and telephone repair workers, to report back to the authorities if they saw anything deemed “suspicious”. Presumably, Napolitano’s plan to expand the current DHS informant program into ‘communities, businesses and citizens’ will mimic similar methods.

At the time, Operation TIPS was decried by liberals as an “end run” around the constitution and its figurehead, Attorney General John Ashcroft, was portrayed as a dangerous authoritarian, even Nazi-like, enforcer. TIPS was compared to the Hoover-era FBI wiretaps that were used to spy on and oppress anti-war activists.

Now that an almost identical program has been launched under the Obama administration, those same liberal groups are noticeably more subdued in their opposition. The ACLU carries absolutely nothing about it on their website, and leftist blogs like the Daily Kos and the Huffington Post have barely mentioned the story.

Ironically, Operation TIPS was officially cancelled when the Homeland Security Act was passed by Congress in November 2002, officially creating the DHS. Section 880 of the bill expressly prohibited the creation of Operation TIPS, and yet Napolitano has resurrected an almost identical program under the auspices of Homeland Security itself.

As a Sydney Morning Herald article about the TIPS program noted at the time, “Historically, informant systems have been the tools of non-democratic states. According to a 1992 report by Harvard University’s Project on Justice, the accuracy of informant reports is problematic, with some informants having embellished the truth, and others suspected of having fabricated their reports.”

Indeed, as we have documented, every historical example of such informant programs illustrates that they never lead to a more secure society, but instead breed suspicion, distrust, fear and resentment amongst the population. The only “benefit” that such programs have ever achieved is allowing the state to more easily identify and persecute political dissidents while discouraging the wider population from engaging in any criticism against the government.

As Alex Jones points out, this isn’t just about Wal-Mart, it’s about the Department of Homeland Security and Big Sis launching a full-scale invasion of our entire society.

Swedish Government Jails Homeschool Father

Christian Newswire

Contact: Ian Slatter, Home School Legal Defense Association, 540-338-8663

PURCELLVILLE, Va., Dec. 6, 2010 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christer Johansson, the father of 9 year-old Domenic Johansson, and husband of Annie Johansson, was recently jailed by Swedish authorities after taking his son home for a short but "unapproved" overnight visit.

"The Swedish government has created an intolerable situation for this family, and have overreacted to Mr. Johansson taking Domenic home for the overnight visit." said Michael Donnelly, HSLDA staff attorney.

One and a half years ago Swedish police boarded a plane where the Johanssons were leaving the country for Annie's home country of India. The police had no warrant and did not charge the Johansson's with a crime.

Authorities cite homeschooling, a few untreated cavities, and the Johansson's decision not to vaccinate Domenic according to the Swedish recommended vaccination schedule as the reasons given for the continued separation.

"This family is just being crushed by the Swedish government. The treatment of the Johanssons is a disgrace. They are only allowed to visit Domenic for 1 hour every five weeks and a 15 minute phone call every two," said Donnelly.

Ruby Harrold-Claesson, a noted international human rights lawyer and president of the Nordic Committee for Human Rights said that she had "never in 20 years of practice seen a case more badly handled."

"The government shouldn't abduct and imprison children simply because it doesn't like homeschooling. That's exactly what happened here," said Alliance Defense Fund Legal Counsel Roger Kiska, who is based in Europe. "Despite the ill-advised decision on the part of Mr. Johansson, the only menace here is a government drunk with its own power. This sad circumstance is what happens when an over-powerful government pushes a parent to the point of desperation, so social services should not pretend to be surprised."

HSLDA, in partnership with ADF, has appealed the Johansson case to the European Court of Human Rights.

Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is a 27-year-old, 85,000 member non-profit organization and the preeminent association advocating the legal right of parents to homeschool their children.

ADF is a legal alliance of Christian attorneys and like-minded organizations defending the right of people to freely live out their faith. Launched in 1994, ADF employs a unique combination of strategy, training, funding, and litigation to protect and preserve religious liberty, the sanctity of life, marriage, and the family.

Wal-Mart Invasion Part of Larger DHS Takeover of America

Infowars.com

WASHINGTON — Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced the expansion of the Department’s national “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign to hundreds of Walmart stores across the country—launching a new partnership between DHS and Walmart to help the American public play an active role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation.
