Police interrogate parents, confiscate their curriculum.

An international organization that has fought pitched battles over parents' rights to educate their own children in Germany, Sweden and the United States, as well as lesser fights in a number of other countries, is taking on officialdom in Botswana after police there grilled homeschoolers, confiscated their teaching materials and ordered them to appear in court.
The Home School Legal Defense Association, based in the United States, also is asking its members to become part of the fight by contacting not only the Botswana embassy but also the office of the African nation's president to express alarm over the developments. Contact information is being posted on the organization's website.
The HSLDA reported four families in Mahalapye, Botswana, are facing an uncertain future that may be determined as early as a Sept. 9 court hearing they are being required to attend.

"The only reason the four families are facing this situation is because a Botswana judge is using the [United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the CRC] to impose his subjective view regarding education and to substitute his opinion as to what is in the 'best interests' of these children over the views of the parents," the organization explained in a report on its website.
HSDLA previously has warned that the U.N. effort, which has not been adopted by the U.S. but has been embraced by most other nations, "opens the door for judges to make sweeping determinations about how children are educated."

WND reported earlier this week when officials in the United Kingdom began removing Internet filters from school computers so that children could reach sexually explicit websites following its adoption of the CRC. The treaty mandates children have the right to reproductive health information and services, including abortions, without parental knowledge or consent.
HSLDA reports the families in Botswana are part of a Seventh Day Adventist church and homeschool because of their religious and other beliefs. It was on May 24 when Judge I.T. Molobe, a magistrate, ordered the families to enroll their children in public schools and stop home education.
Molobe cited Botswana's U.N. "treaty obligations" as a reason to find that the parents violated the "welfare of these children, particularly enjoyment of their right to education as espoused in various local legislation and treaties to which the country ascribes," the report said.
Even though lawyers working with the families explain there does not appear to be any explicit legal requirement in Botswana demanding parents send their children to any school, the families were ordered to forfeit their teaching materials to the state. The materials were confiscated during a police raid in July.
Social workers cited the U.N. treaty as the reason they started investigating the families. Principal Magistrate Jennifer Chhikate has ordered the parents to court on Sept. 9 to prove they are complying, with jail time and fines possible for failure.
The HSLDA estimated there are only a few hundred children being homeschooled in Botswana, a nation of some 2 million people north of South Africa.
"There is no way I will enroll my children in school under any circumstances," one of the parents, identified as the husband of Lolo Modimoothata, said to HSLDA Director of International Relations Michael Donnelly. "I must obey God. The schools here are corrupt and teach my children things that go against our faith and our values. I cannot allow them to go to these schools."
An earlier investigation by social services workers found the children did not want to attend public schools and their home education was superior. The judge concluded they were cared for, but that could not overcome the demands of the U.N.
The HSLDA warned that every homeschooling family should worry that judges more and more are citing the U.N. demands to intervene in what families decide is best for their own children.
Leendert Van Oostrum, an executive with The Pestalozzi Trust, said his organization has hired an attorney for the families and is working on an appeal.
"These are very determined and brave families," Van Oostrum said. "They believe it is their God-ordained duty and right to educate their children at home. We are proud to be able to support them in their cause. We find the behavior of the Botswana police and courts outrageous and hope that more responsible leadership will be applied to remedy this situation without undue trauma to these children."
He explained that because of limited resources, one family already sold a vehicle to pay the legal fees.
Now HSLDA has written a letter to the ambassador for Botswana, asking him to help the families.
Donnelly told the ambassador that Germany and Sweden both have been given negative international attention when they have attempted similar crackdowns on parental rights.
"There appears to be a heavy bias in some countries against the rights of parents to decide what is best for their children," Donnelly explained. "We have seen egregious cases of authoritarian treatment of homeschooling families in Germany and Sweden in Europe and now with Botswana in Africa. We call on policy makers in Botswana to take swift action to protect the rights of parents to determine the best form of education for their children, including homeschooling."
The letter points out that one of the parents was "threatened that his application to become a naturalized citizen of Botswana will be opposed if he does not 'cooperate' with the secret police."
It cites the U.S. judge who wrote last January while approving asylum for a homeschooling family whose members had been persecuted in Germany, "No country has a right to deny these basic human rights."

Just a few weeks earlier, the HSLDA said a similar battle was developing in Sweden, where authorities have begun fining parents who homeschool their own children. An especially egregious case has involved the "state-napping" of a child, the organization has documented.
The United Nation's Convention on the Rights of the Child creates specific civil, economic, social, cultural and even economic rights for every child and states that "the best interests of the child shall be a primary consideration." While the treaty states that parents or legal guardians "have primary responsibility for the upbringing and development of the child," experts say the government ultimately would decide if parents' decisions are good, and, therefore, to be followed.
Among the provisions of the convention is one stating that children have the right to reproductive health information and services, including abortions, without parental knowledge or consent.
The U.S. never has ratified the treaty, and there is an active campaign by Parental Rights.org to prevent that from happening.
Thirty-one U.S. senators already have signed on to a plan to oppose the convention, and only three more are needed to prevent its adoption, since treaties demand support from two-thirds of the Senate.
Among other provisions of the treaty, according to the Parental Rights website:
Parents no longer would be able to administer reasonable spankings to their children.
A murderer aged 17 years, 11 months and 29 days at the time of his crime no longer could be sentenced to life in prison.
Children would have the ability to choose their own religion while parents would only have the authority to give their children advice about religion.
The best interest of the child principle would give the government the ability to override every decision made by every parent if a government worker disagreed with the parent's decision.
A child's "right to be heard" would allow him (or her) to seek governmental review of every parental decision with which the child disagreed.
According to existing interpretation, it would be illegal for a nation to spend more on national defense than it does on children's welfare.
Children would acquire a legally enforceable right to leisure.
Teaching children about Christianity in schools has been held to be out of compliance with the CRC.
During the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign, then-Sen. Barack Obama promised he would pursue the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
"It's embarrassing to find ourselves in the company of Somalia, a lawless land," Obama said at the time. "I will review this and other treaties to ensure the United States resumes its global leadership in human rights."
Among other opponents, several states have adopted resolutions criticizing the treaty, including Louisiana, where lawmakers voted unanimously against it.
ParentalRights.org also advocates for an addition to the U.S. Constitution.
The amendment would state: "The liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right."
It would add that, "Neither the United States nor any state shall infringe upon this right without demonstrating that its governmental interest as applied to the person is of the highest order and not otherwise served."
Lastly, it specifies, "No treaty may be adopted nor shall any source of international law be employed to supersede, modify, interpret, or apply to the rights guaranteed by this article."
Along with its support in the Senate, it has more than 140 sponsors in the House. Under the Constitution's amendment process, a plan approved by Congress would need to be ratified by three-fourths of the states.
Besides Louisiana, lawmakers in South Dakota, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Michigan, California, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, North Carolina, New York and Utah have reviewed the issue.

The U.S. Path to Collapse

The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission today held hearings with former Lehman Brothers Chairman Dick Fuld. The truth is, the failure of Lehman Brothers was a result of the crisis and allowing them to fail was the only correct decision the government made during the crisis.
The pain that was felt after the collapse of Lehman Brothers is nothing compared to the pain that will come when we begin to feel the effects of bailing out the rest of Wall Street. U.S. second quarter GDP growth was revised down on Friday from 2.4% to 1.6%. In order to get this 1.6% GDP growth, the U.S. government had to spend $3.7 trillion on bailouts, stimulus bills, the buying of mortgage backed securities, and other commitments.
General Motors reported today that their August deliveries fell 25% from one year ago to 185,176 vehicles. The U.S. government used "cash for clunkers" to buy GDP growth in 2009, but that growth stole from future automobile sales. NIA believes that GM's sales decline is a sign that the U.S. will likely see a sharp contraction in GDP beginning in the third-quarter, which will lead to the Federal Reserve implementing the mother of all quantitative easing and cause a massive sell off in the U.S. dollar.
Christina Romer, outgoing Chairwoman of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, today called for more government spending and less taxes as a way to bring down unemployment. The combination of more government spending and less taxes equals massive inflation, but this represents the state of mind in Washington today. Inflation is still the last thing on their minds because they don't see it yet.
Even though we might not see massive across the board price inflation at this time, gold and silver prices have been surging ever since NIA released its article "Gold and Silver Capitulation is Near" on July 28th. Gold is very close to breaking its all time nominal high of $1,264.90 per ounce set during June and silver is getting ready to test the critical $20-$21 per ounce resistance level.
Rising gold and silver prices indicate that the U.S. is headed for an explosion in budget deficits that will rise far beyond what it can pay for through borrowing. Leading Chinese economists are now calling Japanese debt less risky than U.S. debt and with the Japanese savings rate in decline, the U.S. will soon have nobody left to borrow from. The only option will be monetization and already the Federal Reserve is getting ready to buy $10 billion to $30 billion per month in U.S. treasuries to keep its balance sheet at inflated levels.
There are now 50 million Americans on Medicaid, with annual Medicaid costs rising 36% over the past two years to $273 billion. The recently enacted health care bill will add 16 million more Americans to Medicaid beginning in 2014, but the U.S. government will likely go bust by then. It is impossible to have an economic recovery when jobless benefits are encouraging Americans to stay unemployed. U.S. unemployment insurance spending has nearly quadrupled since 2007 to $160 billion annually. Even food stamp costs have surged 80% over the past two years to $70 billion annually.
Once Americans get used to receiving and relying on government entitlement programs, it is hard to wean them off of them. NIA has been hearing reports from members with friends who say they will only "come out of retirement" if they can find a job that pays $25 per hour or more, because with anything less it wouldn't be worth losing their jobless and food stamp benefits. Americans expect to receive their jobless benefits forever and we are sure Obama will continue to extend them leading up to the 2012 election.
There are now countless warning signs all around us on a daily basis that the U.S. is headed for a complete societal collapse. Vaccinate the World: Gates, Rockefeller Seek Global Population Reduction

The global elite has launched a world-wide operation against an unaware population to reduce and control fertility. Vaccines and even staple food crops have been modified to achieve these goals.
If you can't seem to bring yourself to believe that such an undertaking is possible, or that there are human beings willing and capable; Look back in time, this kind of conspiracy isn't new, in fact this kind of control was idealized by Plato some 2,300 years ago in his momentous work The Republic. Plato wrote that a ruling elite should guide society, "...whose aim will be to preserve the average of population." He further stated, "There are many other things which they will have to consider, such as the effects of wars and diseases and any similar agencies, in order as far as this is possible to prevent the State from becoming either too large or too small."
The activities of the ruling elite in controlling population, writes Plato, must be kept secret. He writes, "Now these goings on must be a secret which the rulers only know, or there will be a further danger of our herd... breaking out into rebellion."
Peering back into the mists of time and history reveal that there is truly nothing new under the sun. What has been done will be done again, and the 21st Century manifestation of global elites have advanced tools at their disposal.
The GAVI Alliance (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization)
The GAVI Alliance, founded in 2000 with the help of the Gates Foundation, has the goal of vaccinating all of the third world. The member organizations of GAVI are listed on group's the website, which include:
"...national governments of donor and developing countries, the Bill and Melinda Gates Children’s Vaccine Program, the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations (IFPMA), the Rockefeller Foundation, UNICEF, the World Bank Group and the World Health Organization (WHO)."
In December of 2000, David Rockefeller and William H. Gates Sr., among others, (pictured to the right) visited the Rockefeller University campus to take part in a meeting on "Philanthropy in a Global Century". While there, Gates spoke glowingly about his inspiration from Rockefeller in founding GAVI,
"Gates said that 'Taking our lead and our inspiration from work already done by The Rockefeller Foundation, our foundation actually started GAVI by pledging $750 million to something called the Global Fund for Children's Vaccines, an instrument of GAVI.'"
He also praised the Rockefeller family's century of philanthropy, saying, 'It seems like every new corner we turn, the Rockefellers are already there. And in some cases, they have been there for a long, long time.'"
The fact that such a global mechanism like GAVI exists - in the hands of outspoken population control advocates - for delivering vaccines to millions of people across the world should be disconcerting to say the least; Especially when confronted with the mountains of documentation proving that anti-fertility vaccines have been researched and delivered by the World Health Organization with grant money from the Rockefeller Foundation.
Bill Gates reaffirmed the global population control agenda during a recent TED conference presentation in which he stated,
"The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's heading up to about nine billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."
Anti-fertility vaccines
As Jurriaan Maessen reports, the World Health Organization, one of GAVI's partners, teamed up with the World Bank and UN Population Fund in the 1970's under the “Task Force on Vaccines for Fertility Regulation”. The Task Force,
“...acts as a global coordinating body for anti-fertility vaccine R&D in the various working groups and supports research on different approaches, such as anti-sperm and anti-ovum vaccines and vaccines designed to neutralize the biological functions of hCG. The Task Force has succeeded in developing a prototype of an anti-hCG-vaccine.”
In 1989 research was conducted by the National Institute of Immunology in New Delhi India on the use of 'carriers' such as Tetanus Toxoid and Diphtheria to bypass the immune system and deliver the female hormone called human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG). The research paper was carried in the Oxford University Press in 1990 and was titled "Bypass by an alternate 'carrier' of acquired unresponsiveness to hCG upon repeated immunization with tetanus-conjugated vaccine." The Rockefeller Foundation is listed in the document as giving grants for the research.
By delivering hCG within a Tetanus vaccine - which acts as the carrier - the human body treats hCG as an intruder and creates antibodies against it. This has the effect of sterilizing women who receive the vaccine, and in many cases miscarriage when given during pregnancy.
Soon after anti-fertility vaccines were successfully developed, hCG (Human chorionic gonadotrophin) containing Tetanus vaccines were deployed across multiple third-world counties. Many of these countries were specifically targeted in the U.S. Government's 1974 National Security Memorandum 200 document for population reduction. The document recommended at the time in 1974 that "injectable contraceptives" receive further funding.
In the aftermath of widespread covert use of anti-fertility vaccines, the BBC aired a documentary titled "The Human Laboratory" in 1995 (transcript available here). The discovery of "contaminated" Tetanus toxoid vaccines and the resulting sterilization of Philippine women was exposed.
The following are excerpts from the BBC program:
MARY PILAR VERZOSA: The women would say why is it that the tetanus shots that we've been getting have had effects on us? Our fertility cycles are all fouled up, some of the women among us have had bleedings and miscarriages, some have lost their babies at a very early stage. The symptoms could come soon after their tetanus vaccination - some the following day, others within a week's time. For those who were pregnant on their first three or four months the miscarriage was really frightening.
MARY PILAR VERZOSA: I began to suspect that here in the Philippines that's exactly what's happening. They have laced the tetanus toxoid vials with the Beta HCG.
MARY PILAR VERZOSA: Oh boy that was really something when this came out of my fax machine. Report on HCG concentration in vaccine vials. Three out of those four vials registered positive for HCG, so my suspicions are affirmed that here in our country they are not only giving plain tetanus toxoid vaccination to our women, they are also giving anti-fertility.
According to the local population of the Akha in Thailand, pregnant women are forced to receive vaccines - including tetanus - in order to get ID cards for their children. The vaccine often results with miscarriage. In the video below, Matthew McDaniel, a human rights activist who has been working with the Akha people of Thailand, speaks with two Akha women about the forced Tetanus vaccine and the resulting miscarriages.
Rural populations of the third world have caught on to possible effects of vaccination. Their fears are dismissed as "rumors" and "myths" by the mainstream press that fails to report on the established precedence of anti-fertility vaccine research. Often, those reassuring that the vaccines are safe are the very organizations engaged in population reduction efforts. A 2006 press release from UNICEF (United Nations Children Fund), which is involved with vaccinating many third world countries, quotes the Assistant Project Officer for Health in Ethiopia’s Southern Nations, Tersit Assefa,
"In other places, women of this age often stay away,” said Ms. Tersit. “All sorts of misguided rumours go round that the injections will sterilize them or harm them in some way. But here, the village elders are on board. They are here, encouraging the women to come along.”
While the needle is an obvious and visible form of vaccination, new technologies have been developed with the financial support of the Rockefeller Foundation. Edible vaccines, according to the Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology, will be a more "socioculturally acceptable" alternative to needles. In other words, people will be less resistant to eating a mundane banana than taking a shot in the arm. The Journal states that new edible vaccine technology may serve a dual purpose of birth control. As stated,
"Edible vaccines hold great promise as a cost-effective, easy-to-administer, easy-to-store, fail-safe and socioculturally readily acceptable vaccine delivery system, especially for the poor developing countries... A variety of delivery systems have been developed. Initially thought to be useful only for preventing infectious diseases, it has also found application in prevention of autoimmune diseases, birth control, etc..."
The war against population is an ongoing effort on part of the global elite. This operation is truly massive in scope, but if we live our lives in fear of what the future may bring, we allow ourselves to be defeated. Let your awareness of the situation drive you to make positive changes. We still have the power to raise awareness among our fellow man, and despite what the elite may believe, they do not have a monopoly on the future.

He also praised the Rockefeller family's century of philanthropy, saying, 'It seems like every new corner we turn, the Rockefellers are already there. And in some cases, they have been there for a long, long time.'"
The fact that such a global mechanism like GAVI exists - in the hands of outspoken population control advocates - for delivering vaccines to millions of people across the world should be disconcerting to say the least; Especially when confronted with the mountains of documentation proving that anti-fertility vaccines have been researched and delivered by the World Health Organization with grant money from the Rockefeller Foundation.
Bill Gates reaffirmed the global population control agenda during a recent TED conference presentation in which he stated,
"The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's heading up to about nine billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."
Anti-fertility vaccines
As Jurriaan Maessen reports, the World Health Organization, one of GAVI's partners, teamed up with the World Bank and UN Population Fund in the 1970's under the “Task Force on Vaccines for Fertility Regulation”. The Task Force,
“...acts as a global coordinating body for anti-fertility vaccine R&D in the various working groups and supports research on different approaches, such as anti-sperm and anti-ovum vaccines and vaccines designed to neutralize the biological functions of hCG. The Task Force has succeeded in developing a prototype of an anti-hCG-vaccine.”
In 1989 research was conducted by the National Institute of Immunology in New Delhi India on the use of 'carriers' such as Tetanus Toxoid and Diphtheria to bypass the immune system and deliver the female hormone called human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG). The research paper was carried in the Oxford University Press in 1990 and was titled "Bypass by an alternate 'carrier' of acquired unresponsiveness to hCG upon repeated immunization with tetanus-conjugated vaccine." The Rockefeller Foundation is listed in the document as giving grants for the research.
By delivering hCG within a Tetanus vaccine - which acts as the carrier - the human body treats hCG as an intruder and creates antibodies against it. This has the effect of sterilizing women who receive the vaccine, and in many cases miscarriage when given during pregnancy.
Soon after anti-fertility vaccines were successfully developed, hCG (Human chorionic gonadotrophin) containing Tetanus vaccines were deployed across multiple third-world counties. Many of these countries were specifically targeted in the U.S. Government's 1974 National Security Memorandum 200 document for population reduction. The document recommended at the time in 1974 that "injectable contraceptives" receive further funding.
In the aftermath of widespread covert use of anti-fertility vaccines, the BBC aired a documentary titled "The Human Laboratory" in 1995 (transcript available here). The discovery of "contaminated" Tetanus toxoid vaccines and the resulting sterilization of Philippine women was exposed.
The following are excerpts from the BBC program:
MARY PILAR VERZOSA: The women would say why is it that the tetanus shots that we've been getting have had effects on us? Our fertility cycles are all fouled up, some of the women among us have had bleedings and miscarriages, some have lost their babies at a very early stage. The symptoms could come soon after their tetanus vaccination - some the following day, others within a week's time. For those who were pregnant on their first three or four months the miscarriage was really frightening.
MARY PILAR VERZOSA: I began to suspect that here in the Philippines that's exactly what's happening. They have laced the tetanus toxoid vials with the Beta HCG.
MARY PILAR VERZOSA: Oh boy that was really something when this came out of my fax machine. Report on HCG concentration in vaccine vials. Three out of those four vials registered positive for HCG, so my suspicions are affirmed that here in our country they are not only giving plain tetanus toxoid vaccination to our women, they are also giving anti-fertility.
According to the local population of the Akha in Thailand, pregnant women are forced to receive vaccines - including tetanus - in order to get ID cards for their children. The vaccine often results with miscarriage. In the video below, Matthew McDaniel, a human rights activist who has been working with the Akha people of Thailand, speaks with two Akha women about the forced Tetanus vaccine and the resulting miscarriages.
Rural populations of the third world have caught on to possible effects of vaccination. Their fears are dismissed as "rumors" and "myths" by the mainstream press that fails to report on the established precedence of anti-fertility vaccine research. Often, those reassuring that the vaccines are safe are the very organizations engaged in population reduction efforts. A 2006 press release from UNICEF (United Nations Children Fund), which is involved with vaccinating many third world countries, quotes the Assistant Project Officer for Health in Ethiopia’s Southern Nations, Tersit Assefa,
"In other places, women of this age often stay away,” said Ms. Tersit. “All sorts of misguided rumours go round that the injections will sterilize them or harm them in some way. But here, the village elders are on board. They are here, encouraging the women to come along.”
While the needle is an obvious and visible form of vaccination, new technologies have been developed with the financial support of the Rockefeller Foundation. Edible vaccines, according to the Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology, will be a more "socioculturally acceptable" alternative to needles. In other words, people will be less resistant to eating a mundane banana than taking a shot in the arm. The Journal states that new edible vaccine technology may serve a dual purpose of birth control. As stated,
"Edible vaccines hold great promise as a cost-effective, easy-to-administer, easy-to-store, fail-safe and socioculturally readily acceptable vaccine delivery system, especially for the poor developing countries... A variety of delivery systems have been developed. Initially thought to be useful only for preventing infectious diseases, it has also found application in prevention of autoimmune diseases, birth control, etc..."
The war against population is an ongoing effort on part of the global elite. This operation is truly massive in scope, but if we live our lives in fear of what the future may bring, we allow ourselves to be defeated. Let your awareness of the situation drive you to make positive changes. We still have the power to raise awareness among our fellow man, and despite what the elite may believe, they do not have a monopoly on the future.

Healthcare Workers Should Get a Flu Shot or Lose Their Jobs, Two Health Groups Say

The swine-flu scare of 2009 turned a spotlight on a controversial issue: Should healthcare workers be required to have an annual flu vaccine? Most studies suggest that healthcare workers should be vaccinated to help stop the spread of flu. But surveys show a sizable portion of people who work in hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices don't want to get an annual flu shot. According to a Rand Corp. survey issued last year, 39% of healthcare professionals said they would not get a flu vaccine, even with the threat of pandemic flu.
A policy paper published Tuesday says healthcare workers are ethically obligated to get a flu vaccine. The paper was written by representatives of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology and is endorsed by the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
Agreeing to an annual flu shot should be a condition of initial and continued employment in healthcare facilities, the authors said. Exceptions should be permitted only in cases where a flu vaccine is not recommended for medical reasons.
The reasons for the heavy-handed approach are multiple, the authors state. Voluntary vaccination has not worked to increase the proportion of workers who are immunized. Moreover, studies show the spread of flu is reduced when all of the workers in a health facility are vaccinated. Death rates from complications of flu also decrease. Finally, mandatory vaccination will mean that a sufficient number of healthy workers will be available during disease outbreaks.
Although some workers have called mandatory policies coercive, there is legal precedent for the mandatory vaccination, the authors state. Already, healthcare workers are required to have regular tuberculosis skin tests and to show proof of having had other vaccinations.
"Because the likelihood of a serious adverse reaction to influenza vaccine is extremely low, the duty to protect vulnerable patients and to put their interest above the personal interest of the healthcare worker does not demand undue sacrifice," the authors wrote. The paper is published in the journal Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology.
The move toward mandatory flu vaccination for healthcare personnel already has begun. During last year's swine-flu outbreak, several hospitals implemented a mandatory policy. One hospital chain has adopted mandatory vaccination. And the State of New York Department of Health is writing a permanent regulation for yearly flu vaccination of healthcare personnel.
